Craft Kings Chem Haze IWH Infused Pre-Roll Review: 9/10 – Strong Gassy Hybrid with Real Ice Water Hash
Shoutout to Shelly at Puffin in New Brunswick. She was super helpful walking me through this one and took the time to explain ice water hash extraction while we were picking the Craft Kings Chem Haze IWH Infused Pre-Roll. Real guidance like that matters.

Chem Haze is a sativa-dominant hybrid (Chemdawg × Haze). Gas-forward diesel from the Chem side meets that classic Haze lift. Craft Kings ran ice water hash through it for the infusion.

What is Ice Water Hash? Ice water hash (also called bubble hash) is a solventless extraction. The flower is mixed with ice and cold water, then agitated so the trichome heads become brittle and break off the plant material. Those trichomes are filtered through a series of micron mesh bags. What’s left is pure resin — no butane, no propane, no chemical solvents. Just the plant’s own oil. That’s why a lot of people prefer ice water hash for infused prerolls. Cleaner flavor and a different kind of potency than distillate sprays. Shelly broke this down clearly while helping me choose.
Looks / Pack Clean cone, even roll, visible hash coating without looking soggy. The grind is tighter than most New Jersey prerolls.
Nose Chem hits first — sharp fuel, solvent, a little rubber. Then the Haze comes through with pine, light floral, and citrus peel. The ice water hash keeps the terps present instead of burying them.
Smoke & Flavor Took 6–10 solid pulls. Definitely strong. I’m coughing even while drinking water. The flavor tracks the genetics hard: diesel and chemical on the front, then pine and a light citrus-haze note on the exhale. The ice water hash keeps it from tasting like straight concentrate. Burn stayed relatively even for an infused roll.
Effects High as hell right now. Strong enough that a handful of pulls is plenty. It comes on cerebral and fast — clear head lift, elevated mood, that classic Haze energy without turning completely racy. There’s enough body to keep it from feeling pure head-only, but this is not a couch-lock situation. Potent, functional, and long-lasting for an infused preroll.
Overall Craft Kings is putting out some of the cleaner infused prerolls in New Jersey right now. When the ice water hash is done right it elevates the flower instead of just making it harsh. This Chem Haze IWH version is clearly potent — respect the dose. And again, thank you Shelly at Puffin for the solid recommendation and for taking the time to explain the process.
Score: 9/10
