When you see "sun-grown" or "living soil" on a label, those are terroir claims — the grower is telling you that the environment contributed to the product's complexity. When you see a strain described as having a "regional" character — NorCal OG, Appalachian hemp, Hawaiian sativa — that's terroir language.
The practical takeaway: if you want the most complex, flavorful, and nuanced cannabis experience, look for outdoor or greenhouse-grown flower from growers who prioritize soil health and environmental conditions.
