Crippy Dog Strain Review: Chemdawg × I-95 Hybrid That Hits Hard but Stays Balanced
Share

So this strain was recommended to me by Aaron at Silverleaf Wellness 1743 Route 27, Suite B, Somerset NJ 08753. There is nothing better for me than a Sativa hybrid in the morning. The label says balanced but for my head it was a Sativa on steroids in comparison to some other brands I had at the time. Definitely a good call. I actually wrote this review high as hell off of it. Gas. 👉 Grab it at Silverleaf — Shop Their Rec Menu
Strain Overview Type: Balanced Hybrid Lineage: Chemdawg × I-95 THC: 30–35%+ (lab reports up to 35.26%) CBD: ~0.3% Dominant Terpenes: Beta-myrcene (earthy, relaxing), alpha-pinene (pine, focus), beta-caryophyllene (spicy, anti-inflammatory) Breeder/Grower: Full Tilt Labs (premium small-batch)
This is the kind of hybrid that makes you pause halfway through the first pull and think, "Okay… we're doing this today."
Appearance & Aroma
Dense, resin-heavy buds that look like they got caught in a snowstorm of trichomes. Deep forest greens swirl with purple hues and bright orange pistils that pop against the frost. Break one open and the room fills with that classic Chemdawg gas — sharp, fuel-like, with a bright citrus zest and earthy pine underneath. It's loud in the best way.

Flavor Profile
Inhale: Sharp gas and earthy spice with a bright citrus punch that wakes up the sinuses. Exhale: Kushy pine and lemon zest that lingers on the tongue like a good whiskey. Smoke quality: Surprisingly smooth for something this potent. The Chemdawg lineage brings the classic throat hit, but it doesn't rip you apart.

Effects
Onset: Fast — 5–10 minutes behind the eyes. Peak: Clear cerebral lift + mellow body relaxation that doesn't pin you down. Best For: Daytime creativity, focus-heavy work, stress relief, light pain, or a balanced evening wind-down. Duration: 2–3 solid hours. Intensity: Strong. At 30%+ THC this is not a "microdose and vibe" strain for beginners.
This is the hybrid that gives you the mental clarity to actually do things while still melting the tension out of your shoulders. Higher doses lean more myrcene-heavy and can get properly sedative, but in the sweet spot it's functional fire.

The High (Narrative)
Crippy Dog is that rare hybrid that actually delivers on the "balanced" promise. The head high is bright and focused — perfect for creative work, writing, or just vibing without the usual sativa scatter. The body stays loose and comfortable, turning tension into background noise instead of gluing you to the couch.
It's potent as hell, so respect the dose. Experienced heads will love it as a daily driver that still feels special. Newer users? Start small or you'll be staring at your ceiling wondering why time feels weird.
The gas-lemon profile keeps the flavor interesting the entire session. No burnout mid-joint here.
