ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Cars & Cannabis returns on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the Showboat Resort, 801 Boardwalk. RIX Magazine is hosting the car meet and car show with NJ Dispensary Takeover. Here is what the organizers have posted, what to wear and what to pack.
Cars & Cannabis Showboat 2026: the official details
The Showboat's event calendar lists NJ Dispensary Takeover for Saturday, Oct. 17. It runs from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Terminal at Showboat. The listing promises a cannabis conference, food trucks, a car show, giveaways, local artists and DJ Wallah from HOT 97. An official after party runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Island Waterpark at Showboat.
RIX Magazine's event page gives slightly different hours. It lists indoor and car show hours of 4 to 9 p.m., with vehicle roll-in from 3 to 5 p.m. Another line on the same page says 1 to 3 p.m. for roll-in. Check your ticket or registration before you leave home.
RIX says cannabis vendor areas and some experiences are 21 and older, and guests must show a valid ID to enter them. The page lists 30-plus dispensaries, 20 cannabis brands, a lounge, on-site T-shirt printing, glass blowing, professional rollers, raffles and karaoke after hours. The first 50 registered cars and the first 500 paid ticket holders get swag bags, the organizer says. The show is rain or shine. Tickets are not refundable.

What to wear to an Atlantic City cannabis event in October
The day runs indoors and out. The car meet uses outdoor space, and the Terminal is indoors. You will walk a lot, stand a lot and spend time near the ocean after dark. Plan for two temperatures.
- A tee as your base layer. A plain or graphic cotton tee works under the lights inside. Black hides spills from food trucks.
- A hoodie for after sunset. Wind off the ocean drops the feel of the air fast on the Boardwalk. A heavy blend hoodie is easy to tie around your waist inside.
- Shoes you can stand in for six hours. Car show floors are concrete. Skip new shoes.
- A light rain shell. The organizer says the show goes on rain or shine. Check the National Weather Service forecast for Atlantic City the night before.
- Clothes for the after party. If you plan to stay for the 9 p.m. after party, pack a clean shirt in your bag.
Our Forever Summer collection is buy 3 tees, get 1 free. That covers you, a friend and two spare shirts for the weekend. For the cold part of the night, Bundle Up is any two hoodies for $100. Every order ships free in the US with no minimum.
Packing list for Cars & Cannabis at Showboat
- A valid government ID. RIX says it is required for 21+ areas.
- Your ticket or vehicle registration, saved offline on your phone.
- A phone charger or battery pack. Six hours of photos drains a phone.
- Cash and a card. Food trucks and vendors set their own payment rules.
- Earplugs if you plan to stand near the DJ or the exhaust lineup.
- A water bottle. Check the venue's bag and bottle policy before you go.
- A small bag that zips shut. Crowds and open bags do not mix.
Know the rules before you light anything
New Jersey's cannabis law bars smoking, vaping or aerosolizing cannabis in public places, and towns can set their own fines. The Boardwalk is a public place. Follow the venue's rules and the staff's directions inside the event. If you bought products at the show, keep them sealed until you are somewhere private. Never drive impaired. Arrange a ride if you plan to stay late.
Getting there and staying over
The Showboat sits at 801 Boardwalk on the north end of Atlantic City. The Showboat's own listing suggests turning the show into a full weekend at the resort. The Jersey Shore Barber & Beauty Expo also runs at the Showboat on Oct. 17 and 18, according to Shore Local News, so expect a busy building and book rooms early.
