Prices changed how sales are counted. Illinois moved to a new tracking system, Metrc, in 2025. The state says the old system logged some sales at pre-discount prices, so recent months read lower than earlier ones partly because checkout prices are now recorded more accurately. Tax receipts reported to IDOR were not affected. Source: CROO.
Not published in a form we can verify: sales by county or city, licensed grower counts in a downloadable list, and monthly tax collections. The state’s wholesale figures are paused while the new system’s data is reviewed.
