  • Water/feed consistently (lift pots to judge)
  • Record pH, EC, observations in a notebook or app
  • Inspect leaves for problems every visit
  • Maintain 10–20% runoff in coco

Beginner Strain Alternatives if Dream OG isn’t available:

  • Northern Lights (indica, easy, fast)
  • Blue Dream (similar to Dream OG)
  • Granddaddy Purple or White Widow

This schedule keeps things simple while maximizing success. Soil makes pH and nutrient mistakes less punishing — focus on environment and consistency over perfection.

Pro Tip: Overwatering and overfeeding kill more first grows than anything else. Less is more when starting.

Environment Beats Hype Genetics

Fancy seeds will not save a tent with light leaks, wild VPD, or lazy dry-backs. Dial environment first: stable lights-off temps, honest airflow, and a dry that does not rush the plant into hay. Genetics matter — but only after the room stops lying to you.

Document every run. The growers who improve are the ones who write down what actually happened, not what the forum promised.

Harvest Timing Without the Myths

Trichomes tell more truth than calendar apps. Cloudy with a measured amber percentage beats harvesting because you got impatient. Cure is half the product. If you rush jars, you erase months of work in a week.
