Clade9 Private Reserve OG 1g pouch and cannabis flower, New Jersey strain review

Clade9 Private Reserve OG NJ Review: Batch Scores 8.9/10

The black 1g pouch sat on the table like it had something to prove. Clade9 Private Reserve OG did not need the label to shout for long; the first part of the session did that work.

Short answer: As smoked in September 2026, this Clade9 Private Reserve OG cut earns an 8.9/10. The front end hit hard, then tapered into a clean, useful hour-plus without turning into a couch-lock knockout. The bag looked like honest 1g smalls, not a show-cola flex. Start smaller than your usual bowl, and skip it if high-THC flower tends to get racy.

The black 1g pouch from Clade9 / The QCC Group LLC landed with a loud sticker: 43.26% total cannabinoids, 35.39% total THC, 39.72% THCA, 1.91% CBG, and 1.78% terpenes led by limonene (0.63%), myrcene (0.45%), and trans-caryophyllene (0.37%). Harvest 06/01/26. Indoor. Pesticides: none. Class 1 cultivator. Lot PROG-F1.8-06.01.2026-L1. That is what the jar said. The review is what happened after it was opened.

Final house score for this cut: 8.9/10

Awesome high. Intense on the front end. Then it tapered cleanly and stayed useful for at least an hour. That is the logged note. That is the review.

The pack and the flower

Private Reserve sits in Clade9’s OG Family. Brand copy calls it classic lemon-pine / jet-fuel OG, lime-green gas, clone-only lineage. We treat that as label language, not house fact. What we can see in the photos is a 1g premium pouch with mixed small-to-medium nugs: olive-to-lime green, visible frost, orange pistils, and some sugar leaf still on the smaller pieces. Not show-cola bag appeal. Honest 1g smalls energy.

The grind came out light green and fluffy, not hay, not brown. Harvest is June 1, 2026, so this is a few months into the jar, still in window, not a brand-new drop. THC is a billboard. The nose is the review. A full jar-crack aroma was not separately logged beyond the session high, so we leave that box honest instead of dressing it up. Named terpenes on the sticker stay named. Percentages stay on the sticker.

House score strip — this cut, this session

  • Nose: Not separately logged beyond the session. Sticker lists limonene-led with myrcene and caryophyllene.
  • Head: Intense opener. Hits with authority first.
  • Body: Settled instead of fighting. Tapered into a usable hour-plus.
  • Clock: At least one clean hour after the front-end spike. Peak-to-baseline not stopwatched.
  • Would buy: Yes — the high earned another look.

This is a house score for the gram we smoked. It is not a Clade9 brand average and it is not a crowd rating. Empty box beats a guess.

The high, as lived

This is the part that was actually written down: an awesome high. Intense at some point in the beginning. Then it tapered nicely and held for an hour at least.

That shape matches what a high-THCA OG with a limonene-forward, myrcene-supported profile often does for people who already know their dose — a sharp lift, then a landing that does not dump you. It did not get written as couch-lock knockout and it did not get written as racy anxiety. It got written as intense, then polite. That is useful. That is why the score sits at 8.9 instead of a hollow 10. The flower looked like a 1g smalls pack. The effect behaved like the sticker was trying to warn you.

No medical claims. Jar copy is not a treatment plan. If you need a clinician, call one. This is field notes from a session.

Who should skip it

Skip this cut if a high-THC front end tends to turn your night into a negotiation. The 39.72% THCA number is not a dare, and the first lift is not subtle. If you are newer to flower, start materially smaller than your usual bowl and give it time before deciding the pouch needs another hit. Experienced smokers who want a hard opening followed by a usable landing are the better audience for this one.

Private Reserve OG versus Clade9 Pine Tar

Our Clade9 Pine Tar notes landed at 8.7/10, with a more sedating, brain-fog-and-chill lane. Private Reserve is the sharper sibling in the notebook: more front-loaded intensity, then a cleaner hour that stayed useful. That does not make one universally better. It makes the choice clearer. Reach for Pine Tar when you want the room to slow down. Reach for Private Reserve when you want the opening hit but do not want the whole evening swallowed by it.

Context that matters in New Jersey right now

Clade9 is QCC Group’s flagship — California genetics program, indoor rooms in the old industrial footprint in Plainfield, terpene-family merchandising instead of lazy indica/sativa stickers. They have been on NJ shelves long enough that we already have notes on Fig Bar and Pine Tar. Private Reserve is the OG-family cut they keep putting in small premium packs. The numbers on this batch are aggressive even for 2026 flower. Treat 39.72% THCA as a reason to start smaller than your usual bowl, not as a personality.

Shout-out to Jason from Liberty Cannabis in North Brunswick for the assist on this pickup. The store is part of the local scene, but the score and session notes here are ours.

Value on a 1g is always the same question: did the hour justify the ticket? On this one, the logged high says yes.
