Central NJ Cannabis Culture Guide: East Brunswick and Middlesex County

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The Stoner Review is based in East Brunswick, in Middlesex County. This page collects what the state's official records show about legal cannabis in Central Jersey, the events on the local calendar, and the rules smokers need to know.

Middlesex County by the numbers

The NJ Cannabis Regulatory Commission dispensary finder listed 14 adult-use dispensary locations in Middlesex County when we pulled it on Oct. 5, 2026. They sit in seven towns: Highland Park (4), New Brunswick (3), North Brunswick (2), Woodbridge (2), Cranbury (1), Metuchen (1) and South River (1). East Brunswick had none on the map that day.

That is a small share for one of the state's most populous counties. Statewide, the finder listed 327 adult-use locations in 143 municipalities. Hudson County led with 35. New Jersey towns decide whether to allow cannabis businesses, which explains much of the gap. Full figures and sources are on our NJ Cannabis Data Hub.
